Our WG (Womens gymnastic) competitive program utilises the Australian Levels Program (ALP) and aims to provide female gymnasts with the opportunity to develop and excel within the 10 levels (level 1 through to 10).
The competitive squads Level 1 & 2 currently train between 2-4 hours and as they progress through the levels they are offered an increase in hours. The ALP program is a nationally recognised program which provides a stream-lined progression through the 10 levelled system. Gymnasts progress at their own pace and build on their skill level and ability. The ALP program consists of 4 apparatus – Vault, Uneven Bars, Beam and Floor.
ALP Level 3 & above requires a great deal of commitment and dedication with long training hours required (between 3 -6 hours per week). The objective of this program is to compete in optional competitions in the South West Region and Melbourne, with an emphasis on fun, participation and team spirit.
Entrance into competitive squads is by individual assessment.
